Unreal
Last night on the way home from work I needed to stop and put gasoline in my car. 37.74$ Almost forty bucks to fill up my car people. AND? I don't drive a truck. I drive a Camry!!! A Camry for pities sake! Just shoot my now. I wonder if there is going to come a time when it is actually going to be too expensive for people to drive to work. Seriously. $37.74. I was actually cringing watching the numbers fly by on the gas pump. Ugh.

I felt the same pain on Monday when I filled up my Camry. Gas here just reached $3.00/gal. Sure it is worse elsewhere, but for gosh sakes...we are a gas/oil producing state!

Something has to give on the price of gas. You are right. We cannot continue to pay these crazy prices. No one has budgeted that much money for transportation costs.

I just filled up my Accord last night for $43.50. Granted I let the little gauge get down in the red and I normally don't. Gas here in NW Ohio is now $3.08. That's just nuts! I'm seriously considering getting a hybrid when my lease is up.

Seriously. I've broken the $30 barrier IN MY COROLLA! That is so entirely wrong, I don't even know what to say about it. The most I've paid was this week: $2.99 When I was in San Francisco in April, it was already up to $3.75, so I guess we're lucky in comparison, but still.

I paid $64 this morning to fill my tank from nearly empty... I drive a tiny little standard ford contour. Of course that's $64 Canadian, which comes to $57 US, but still! Ridiculous!

Before gas prices went up a couple of years ago, I'd drive the speed limit of 65 on 295 in my 1996 4 door Saturn sedan. Measured mileage - 30 or 31 mpg. After prices went up, I dropped it down to 55 and checked the mileage at least four tankfuls - 40-42 mpg!!!! Yeah baby, I don't care how many people give me the finger on the road for "going too slow."
